BEPA - Belgian PSK Awards

The Belgian PSK Award Series was devised by the European PSK Club on 18th August 2006. This was to sponsor a series of PSK awards based on the administrative geography of Belgium. Any Belgian award may be claimed by any licensed radio amateur, club station or SWL eligible under these rules who can produce evidence of having contacted/heard amateur radio stations in Belgium by using PSK modes. All claims must be submitted in an appropriate application form listed on the EPC website. All awards can be claimed as Activated as well as Worked. Contacts with EPC members count on or after 10th June 2006.

QSL-cards are not required. Awards are issued to the person or club. The person or club can use any legal call sign. Contacts made from club stations or special event stations count to the credit of both the club and the operator. All stations must be operated in accordance with their licensing conditions. Contacts may be made from any location in the same DXCC country. Credit will be given for contacts made on any of the amateur bands below 30 MHz.

The submission for credit of any altered or forged log extractions or, equally, bad behaviour on or off the air which is judged by the European PSK Club to bring a particular programme into disrepute may result in disqualification of the applicant from the Award Programme. The decision of the award manager on this and other matters of dispute will be finals.

All awards are issued FREE of charge in a high quality PDF format and sent via email to the applicants. Awards could be printed then with the highest quality and with optimal performance by applicants themselves. Belgian awards are issued to the EPC members only. The BEPA award may be claimed by any EPC member eligible under the Belgian PSK Award Series General Rules listed above who can produce evidence in a form of ADIF log of having contacted all eleven EU Areas within Belgium by using any type of the Phase Shift Keying. The applicant should earn 100 points for contacts with Belgian stations. Each contact with EPC member is worth 10 points. Each contact with none EPC member is worth 2 points. The final score is the result of the total QSO points. To summarize the rules, the BEPA applicant should earn 100 points with Belgian stations having contacted all eleven Belgian EU Areas.

The BEEPC award may be claimed by any EPC member eligible under the Belgian PSK Award Series General Rules listed above who can produce evidence in a form of ADIF log of having contacted 10 EPC members from Belgium by using any type of the Phase Shift Keying. The applicant should earn 100 points for contacts with EPC members from Belgium. Each contact is worth 3 points. A multiplier of one is for each different Belgian EU Area. The final score is the result of the total QSO points multiplied by the sum of Belgian EU Area multipliers. To summarize the rules, the BEEPC applicant should earn 100 points with EPC members from Belgium having contacted at least 10 of them.

The Flanders PSK Award may be claimed by any EPC member eligible under the Belgian PSK Award Series General Rules listed above who can produce evidence in a form of ADIF log of having contacted all five EU Areas within the Flemish Region by using any type of the Phase Shift Keying. One QSO with the Brussels-Capital Region (BEØ3) can be used as a «Joker» to replace any one missing Flemish EU Area. The applicant should earn 50 points for contacts with Flemish stations. Each contact with EPC member is worth 10 points. Each contact with none EPC member is worth 2 points. The final score is the result of the total QSO points. To summarize the rules, the Flanders PSK Award applicant should earn 50 points with Flemish stations having contacted all five Flemish EU Areas [BEØ1, BEØ6, BEØ9, BE1Ø and BE11].

The Wallonia PSK Award may be claimed by any EPC member eligible under the Belgian PSK Award Series General Rules listed above who can produce evidence in a form of ADIF log of having contacted all five EU Areas within the Walloon Region by using any type of the Phase Shift Keying. One QSO with the Brussels-Capital Region (BEØ3) can be used as a «Joker» to replace any one missing Walloon EU Area. The applicant should earn 50 points for contacts with Walloon stations. Each contact with EPC member is worth 10 points. Each contact with none EPC member is worth 2 points. The final score is the result of the total QSO points. To summarize the rules, the Walloon PSK Award applicant should earn 50 points with Walloon stations having contacted all five Walloon EU Areas [BEØ2, BEØ4, BEØ5, BEØ7 and BEØ8].

Application Procedure

Since 1st June 2008 all claims for the EPC awards should be made using our UltimateEPC Award Management Software written by DK5UR. The award applicant should re-submit his application when claiming for higher classes of awards. The award manager will keep all your records in our database. Please make sure before you submit your ADIF log that you have checked it with the appropriate software.
